Who we are

Evolution of Women is an interdisciplinary organization dedicated to advancing women’s health by bridging the gap between medical and mental health care. Founded with the belief that women deserve whole-person, collaborative care across every stage of life, our mission is to create meaningful connection, education, and innovation among the professionals who serve women.

At the heart of Evolution of Women is a simple but powerful idea: when medical and mental health providers work together, outcomes improve. Too often, women navigate complex physical, emotional, and reproductive health challenges in fragmented systems. We exist to bring those systems together—creating space for dialogue, learning, and partnership that honors the full complexity of women’s experiences.

What We Do

We host conferences, educational experiences, and collaborative opportunities designed to:

  • Bridge medical and mental health care across the female lifespan

  • Provide high-quality, interdisciplinary education

  • Foster professional relationships and referral networks

  • Create a supportive, inclusive space for learning and connection

Our programming is intentionally designed to blend clinical expertise with compassionate, trauma-informed perspectives—recognizing that women’s health is shaped by biology, psychology, relationships, culture, and lived experience.

What Sets Our Conference Apart

#1 True Interdisciplinary Collaboration

Unlike traditional conferences that focus on a single discipline, Evolution of Women intentionally brings medical and mental health professionals together in the same space. Our sessions are designed to foster dialogue, shared learning, and collaboration across specialties—creating a more integrated approach to women’s health that reflects how care should happen in real life.

#2 A Whole-Person, Lifespan Focus on Women’s Health

We center the full complexity of women’s experiences across the lifespan—integrating physical, emotional, reproductive, relational, and mental health perspectives. From fertility and perinatal care to trauma, chronic illness, and midlife transitions, our programming reflects the reality that women’s health cannot be separated into silos.

#3 Intentional Community and Connection

Beyond education, Evolution of Women is built to cultivate meaningful professional relationships. With thoughtfully structured sessions, networking opportunities, and collaborative spaces, we prioritize connection, referral-building, and the creation of an ongoing interdisciplinary community—so the impact continues long after the conference ends.

Our Story

Evolution of Women was founded by Emily Freeze, LMFT, MPH, PMH-C, a therapist, specializing in maternal and reproductive mental health, with a passion for integrated care. Through years of clinical work supporting women and families, Emily recognized a persistent divide between medical and mental health services across all stages of a women’s life. Evolution of Women was created to help close that gap.

What began as a vision for deeper collaboration has grown into a platform for education, networking, and professional community. Our inaugural conference brings together physicians, therapists, nurses, advanced practice providers, and allied professionals who share a commitment to improving care for women through interdisciplinary collaboration.
